Iran women's football team, this time, grief-stricken after they banned following the 2012 London Olympic qualifying. The ban was linked to the appearance of Mullah State team because of all the players wearing the Hijab on the gridiron.
"They were banned because it violated the rules of FIFA," said the Iran Football Federation officials in Tehran.
Last week, Iranian protest world soccer organization because the Iran women's soccer team banned from playing against Jordan in the Olympic qualifying matches. FIFA considers Iran violated the rules because the players cover the entire body, including wearing a headscarf.
Headscarf affair already there are changes associated with FIFA ban last year. The change is believed to have obtained approval from the World Football and FIFA President Sepp Blatter.
"We have been corrected and asked to be given the opportunity to compete again," said Farideh Shojaei.
In the FIFA regulations for the 2012 Olympics declared, "The players and officials must not associate with political issues, religion, business, individual messages or slogans in different languages or any other form of game or team equipment".
Since 2007, FIFA issued a ban on Muslim women wearing headscarves to play football because it is feared could lead to injury. In addition, FIFA also strictly prohibits any religious symbols in the team, including a team shirt.
